Frequently Asked Questions

  • A psychic medium is someone who intuitively communicates with consciousness that survives the physical body. Mediumship is rooted in the understanding that consciousness continues beyond physical death.

There are many kinds of psychic mediums. Traditionally, mediumship refers to communication with discarnate spirits — human and animal loved ones who have passed from this physical life, as well as known and unknown ancestors. This is sometimes distinguished from psychic work, which involves working with the energy and consciousness of those still in the physical world. Some mediums bridge both — and for this reason it is commonly said that every medium is a psychic, but not every psychic is a medium. Others may also connect with the consciousness of plants and minerals, spirit guides, or angels.

Every psychic medium works differently, with their own range of abilities, strengths, and areas of focus. My current strengths and primary focus are in communicating with discarnate human spirits, though my work extends across a broader range of spiritual connection.

  • Spirit Communicator — The spirit communicator, sometimes referred to simply as spirit, is the discarnate consciousness that comes through during a reading. This may be a human loved one who has passed, an animal, a known or unknown ancestor, a spirit guide, or another non-human presence. The spirit communicator is the one initiating or responding to communication from the other side.

Receiver — The receiver is the person or persons present in the physical world who are the intended recipients of the communication. This is you — the client or clients who have come to the session seeking connection, evidence, or guidance.

Medium — The medium is the bridge between the spirit communicator and the receiver. My role is not to direct or control the communication but to receive and relay evidence, messages, and impressions as clearly and honestly as possible.

Evidence — In mediumship, evidence refers to specific and verifiable information that a spirit communicator brings through to demonstrate their identity and the validity of the connection. This may include names, dates, birthdays, anniversaries of passing, how someone passed, memories, hobbies, interests, work, relationships, and things currently happening in the receiver's life. Evidence is what distinguishes mediumship from general spiritual guidance — it is the foundation of trust in the connection.

Message — A message is what the spirit communicator wishes to say once a connection has been established through evidence. Messages are most meaningful when they arise after evidence has been confirmed — they carry greater weight when the identity of the spirit communicator has already been established. Spirit often communicates messages of love, gratitude, apology, and pride — expressions such as thank you, I love you, I am sorry, and I am proud of you are among the most common, though spirit may convey much more. Spirit may also express an awareness of what is currently happening in your life — acknowledging a bright moment you are celebrating or a difficult situation you are facing or moving through. These messages, while sometimes simple, can be profoundly healing for the receiver.

  • A mediumship reading is a session in which I serve as a bridge between you and those who have crossed over — receiving and relaying evidence, messages, and impressions from those on the other side. In a reading, I open to all that wishes to come through, allowing spirit to lead rather than seeking a specific connection from the start. While my primary strength lies in communicating with human consciousness, sessions may at times extend to animal, plant, and mineral consciousness, as well as spirit guides.

  • Sessions are primarily conducted virtually via Zoom. In-person sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area, California are available on a case-by-case basis and are arranged by mutual agreement prior to scheduling.

  • All sessions are 50 minutes.

  • Every session begins with a brief review of the informed consent to ensure we are aligned on the nature and scope of the work. I then take a moment to drop into a state of receptivity — creating the conditions for clear connection.

From there I explore who is present and first in line to communicate, allowing spirits to come forward naturally. Once we have established an initial connection, I will invite you to share whether there is a specific spirit you are hoping to reach — if that spirit has not already come through naturally — and we will explore whether that connection is accessible.

Sessions are led by spirit and shaped by you. Your intention, questions, and openness all influence what emerges. Questions are generally reserved for the final 15 minutes or so, though the session is allowed to breathe and follow what unfolds naturally.

  • Each session is $200. Please note that I am currently completing a self-created "psychic internship" — a structured period of practice prior to offering services professionally. During this period, practice sessions are offered at no charge. Formal pricing of $200 per session will take effect once this internship period concludes. Payment will be accepted through Square once formal services launch.

  • Mediumship readings conducted via Zoom may be recorded and emailed to you following the session. When we briefly review the informed consent at the beginning of the session, I will ask you if you would like the session recorded. You may opt out of recording at any time.

  • You may choose to set an intention, write down the names of anyone you hope to connect with, and have a pen and journal nearby. A meaningful photo or object can also be helpful. It can also be useful to note important details about those you are hoping to connect with — such as birthdays, anniversaries of passing, hobbies, interests, and other memorable aspects of their life. These details are not shared at the start of the session but may help you recognize and validate what comes through as the reading unfolds.

You do not need to share who you are hoping to connect with at the start of the session — there will be an opportunity for that as the session unfolds, particularly if that connection has not already come through naturally. Most importantly, come with an open mind and without expectation about who or what may come through.

Please do not attend your session under the influence of alcohol or any other substances. If you are, I reserve the right to reschedule.

  • No. I cannot control who comes through or how messages are communicated. A reading begins by opening to whoever is first in line — allowing spirit to come forward naturally rather than seeking a specific connection immediately. Once initial evidence and messages have come through, I will check in with you about whether you wish to continue with that connection or whether you would like to explore whether someone else is accessible.

What I can promise is my full presence and integrity throughout. If a connection cannot be established, please see the question below.

  • It happens — and I will always be upfront with you when it does. Not every session yields a strong connection, and I believe honesty about that is part of what makes this work trustworthy.

If I am unable to establish a connection, we have options. We can sit quietly and allow more time for something to come through. We can shift the focus to whatever impressions or energy I am receiving, even if they are subtle or incomplete. Or we can simply acknowledge that a strong connection is not present today and close the session with integrity.

It is also worth considering that I may not be the right fit for you or for the spirit communicators around you. Just as in any other field — medicine, accounting, law — not every practitioner is the right match for every person. I have also come to understand that some spirit communicators wait to come through a specific medium. If that is the case, please do not be despondent. I encourage you to remain open and to consider sitting with another practitioner who may be a better fit.

What I will never do is fabricate or embellish what comes through in order to fill the time. If nothing comes, I will tell you. Your time and trust matter more than a performance.

  • If I connect with a spirit you do not wish to hear from, we can respectfully distance from that spirit and invite a different connection. You may set a hard limit — meaning you never want to hear from that spirit under any circumstances — or a soft limit — meaning you are not ready to hear from them at this time. Either way, your limit will be honored without question.

If you are open to briefly hearing from such a spirit, I will relay initial evidence and impressions to get a sense of what they wish to communicate. If the session moves in a direction you are not comfortable with, or you become too uncomfortable or triggered, we can respectfully distance from that spirit at any point.

  • You always retain your free will. Messages from spirit are not directives — they are offerings. You are never obligated to act on anything that comes through in a session, regardless of who it comes from or how it is delivered.

That said, the nature of the message matters. Some messages come through as expressions of love, concern, or encouragement — these are invitations, not instructions. Others may feel more directive in tone. In either case, I encourage you to sit with what resonates, reflect on it over time, and make decisions that feel right for you.

Spirit communication is meant to support your clarity and autonomy — not replace it. You are always the author of your own life.

  • No — and I want to be transparent about why. Not everything is set in stone. Some things may be bound to happen, while others are shaped by our choices and free will. What I can offer are impressions — a sense of what may be unfolding or what energy surrounds a situation — but I do not make predictions and I do not claim to know with certainty what will happen.

I am also mindful of the power of suggestion. What is shared in a session can land deeply, and I take seriously the responsibility that comes with that. Any impressions I offer should be held lightly, reflected on over time, and never used to override your own discernment, judgment, or agency. You are always the author of your own life.

  • That is a natural part of this work. You are always welcome to slow down, pause, or stop the session at any time. These sessions can bring up strong emotions and you are never expected to push through discomfort.

  • I recommend approaching sessions one at a time. If your first session brings through sufficient evidence and messages, there may be no need to schedule a follow-up. However, if you wish to continue connecting with a specific spirit or spirits, a follow-up session is absolutely something we can consider.

I generally limit this kind of series to one to three sessions, ideally scheduled one to two weeks apart — allowing time for integration and reflection between each one.

I also recommend no more than two episodes of service per calendar year. An episode may be a single session or a series of one to three sessions. This boundary is set with intention — to support your integration of what comes through and to prevent reliance on sessions as an ongoing source of guidance.

  • A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged the full session fee once formal services launch. No-shows may be charged the full session fee once formal services launch. During the current practice internship period, no charges apply. However, I do ask that you notify me as soon as possible if you are unable to attend, out of mutual respect for our time.

  • Yes. You are welcome to invite additional guests to join a mediumship reading. I recommend keeping the group to four or fewer participants to support the quality and intimacy of the session.

Please know that spirit may step forward for anyone present in the session, or for someone they may be connected to. The more people present, the greater the chances of a meaningful connection coming through.

I ask that all guests come prepared for the session — please refer to the How should I prepare for a mediumship reading and the Informed Consent & Client Agreement for guidance. By participating in the session, each guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of the informed consent.

Please note that if your session is recorded and you would like to authorize the use of a clip, each participant present in the recording will be required to sign a separate Media Release & Authorization Form before any content can be used publicly.

  • Information shared during your session will be kept confidential. I do not share your personal identifying information with others. I may, on occasion, reference a reading without identifying information for purposes of consultation or ongoing development. If you agree to a media release, session content may be used for advertising, training, or consulting purposes as outlined in that separate agreement.
